Have you seen the cover? TAMARA, TAKEN by Ginger Talbot

“This billionaire has a horrifying secret …and I’m so sorry I found out ..."

Once upon a time ...
I was a 19-year-old girl with a law school scholarship. My ugly past was finally behind me and my whole life lay ahead.  My name ... was Tamara.

But now ...
I don't own my mind or my body anymore. I don't even have my name. Now, I'm called Toy, and I am the prisoner of the most beautiful serial killer the world has ever seen.

My purpose in life is to please him, to crawl for him, to serve his every whim instantly without question.
Sometimes it amuses him to give me pleasure so intense I think I’ll die. Sometimes he likes to invent new ways to make me scream.

He says I’ll never feel the wind on my face again.
He says that his face is the last that I’ll ever see.
He likes to make me cry.
He says that he's the only one allowed to hurt me, so he’ll keep me safe and caged until the day I die.

And soon ...
There’s an evil worse than him crawling through the shadows of our lives.
When the past comes knocking, my jailor may be my only savior.

Tamara, Taken is a full-length novel and the first in a dark romance duet. It ends on a cliff-hanger.  Part two, The Trials of Tamara, will be released May 5.This is darker than dark, and contains scenes that some readers may find disturbing.

Ginger Talbot is a fan of dark chocolate, dark romance, and talking about herself in the third person. She’s a restless soul who’s wandered from coast to coast, and can generally be found in the local bookstore coffee shop, flipping through the pages of a romance or thriller and overindulging in lattes.

She collects rescue dogs and Star Trek Barbie dolls. Really, they have those. Yeoman Rand is her favorite. When she cosplays, she goes as a redshirt.

She majored in journalism back when newspapers were still a thing and spent her career covering courts and cops. Now she sits in her office dreaming up heroes who are true Alpha-holes, and the heroines who love to hate to love them. She loves to hear from readers – please email or post on her Facebook page!

Single mom Bobbi Granger has struggled since the death of her husband, but when her high school crush walks in with his niece, things may be changing for the better. Kat’s a typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max). Kat has been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. Since then she’s been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. As you can guess from her series, the Las Vegas Sidewinders, Kat loves hockey. She is also a freelance hockey writer, covering her favorite team, the Florida Panthers, and any other teams that have an interesting story. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There’s something enticing about hockey players and romance…

There is no shame in pleasure. And no love in business.

I have a blind date tonight, and I know with 100% certainty that I’m getting lucky. There shouldn’t be any surprises, not for one as jaded as me, but when I walk into the penthouse suite of L’Etoile, everything changes. 1) For one thing, Bea is heartstoppingly gorgeous. Pale green eyes and endless freckles. Curves I want to spend all night exploring, as if her body was made for me. 2) Her innocence makes me want to use my entire inventory of bedroom tricks on her and then invent a few more. 3) Except that… she’s a virgin. I can initiate her into the world of desire without letting her get attached, can’t I? A few hours of tutoring, and at the end of the night a small fortune will be deposited into my bank account. Yes, you read that right. There are many words for what I do. After all, mine is the oldest profession. I’m an escort, which means this date is nothing more than a mutually enjoyable transaction. But once I realize one night with her won’t be enough, I’m the one who’s screwed.

ESCORT is a standalone contemporary romance that releases on March 20th!

“My heart is fluttering with all the feelings from this incredible read… I always crave a new story from this author, and this time her gorgeous writing and poignant imagination shine with a unique and touching light.” – Babel, Goodreads reviewer

“Hello,” I call, stepping into the suite.
There’s a thump from the bedroom. A woman pops her head around the corner, all frizzy hair and wild eyes and plump pink lips. She wears a black dress with a startling high neck, lace on top, the kind that a matron would wear—but her skin is perfectly smooth, her eyes wide. This is a young woman. Younger than myself, her clothes an anachronism. Her expression? Pure relief. “Oh thank God.”
She sounds so sincere that I have visions of an orgasm emergency. A deficiency so intense she had to dial a twenty-four-hour line to have it fixed. There’s something undeniably hot about the idea of a woman in dire straits and me the only one who can help.
“Hugo Bellmont,” I tell her, providing a small bow. “At your service.”
And then I give her the smile. Not the megawatt one that I used downstairs. I give her the slow, suggestive one, that lets her know every dirty thing that I’m thinking.
It isn’t fake. It doesn’t need to be. Not with her whispery curls that I’d love to feel in my fist. Not with the pale freckles across her nose that I’d love to track all the way down her body.
Her eyes are an interesting pale green. I want to look in them while I go down on her.
Every single dirty thought is in the smallest smile.
Except she disappears back into the bedroom. “In here!”
How unusual. I’ve never met a woman as hurried about her sexual requirements. She sounds worried, almost frantic, and I haven’t even been here sixty seconds.
I follow her, feeling for the first time in years out of my depth. It’s a nice feeling, a pleasant simmer in my veins. My steps feel lighter across the plush carpet.
At the threshold I barely have time to register the strange furniture. It’s large and antique. Expensive but mismatched. As if they crammed an estate sale into one room.
The woman is bent over a large dresser, her ass perfectly plump. I could fill my hands with her. Could press my new erection against the crease. Except it isn’t a sexy pose.
Instead she seems to be looking behind the dresser.
“It’s okay,” she’s saying, breathless. “Come out, sweetie. You can do it.”
Based on the sweet tone of her voice and the cat dish I spotted on way inside, I already know what I’m going to see when I peek over the top of the dresser. Sure enough there’s a fluffy cat with bright yellow eyes peering up at me.
I don’t have much experience with cats. They were one level up from rodents where I grew up, useful for catching rats and underfoot in dark alleys.
However, my experience with pussies of a different sort translates just fine, because I can see exactly what’s happened to the poor girl. She’s backed herself all the way into a corner, made her body so small she can’t possibly come out.
No matter how nicely her owner coaxes her, it won’t work. It can’t possibly. Something like this isn’t solved with words; it’s solved with a confident, calming touch.
I straighten enough to pull off my jacket. “If you’ll allow me.”

He bent down by the fireplace—catching his body with his arms—and did a half push-up to rest beside me. Lying down side by side, our shoulders touching, his face close to mine, I could feel the temperature of our bodies rising, fusing together as one. Did he feel the heat? “Let’s see here,” he huffed, teasing me with his mechanical savvy. “Funny,” I whispered back, watching him examine the guts of the fireplace. “But once you realize it’s unfixable—” “Hand me the matches?” His voice turned businesslike as he studied the wires. I responded with a groan. As I reached across his body for the small box on the floor, the smell of him suddenly caught my senses—musky and male, and much too close. I hesitated, hovering over his back, fascinated that my body was responding in a similar way to when my temper peaked. My eyelids shut, and I drank in the hot adrenalin rush, emotions that were strange, feelings I didn’t understand. I forced myself back, careful not to touch him or move any closer. “I’ll tell you what,” I said, shaking the haze away. I brought the matches forward, lying on my stomach again but with ample space between us. “You fix it, you get a wish. If not, the wish is mine.” He readjusted himself. “Watch and learn, sweetheart,” he said absently, keeping his attention on the project, his head bent low. “Light that for me?” I removed a match, struck it against the strip, and carefully handed him the flame. With a push of a button, a small spark erupted into a bright-blue flare. A muted explosion sounded, and the two-faced fire rushed across the imitation log. “How did you do that?” I hollered. I stared at the mesmerizing flames of blue, deep yellow, and crimson endowing our faces with a warm glow, the heat already radiating through the glass. However, a different sort of heat ignited within me. It was my competitive edge, I reasoned. A few failed attempts from him would have been nice before it burst into a bright, blazing banner of victory. “Ahhh, the sweet smell of methane,” he heckled. Show-off. Even through my poor attitude, I allowed my shoulder to nudge his. I went to my knees and crawled toward the small cabinet to put away the matchbox. I breathed out heavily, releasing all my confusing responses to him. “Next time you want to light it, just—” “I know, I know,” I told him. “I watched you.” I reached up, tugging on the cabinet drawer and telling myself he could explain when I wasn’t so wound up. Like a sudden shift in the weather, a solid wall of warmth pressed into my back as his body covered mine from behind. I stiffened instantly. He reached around my rigid body and gently took the matchbox from my hand, his entire frame as calm as a warm summer breeze, encasing mine. As he leaned forward, putting the matchbox in the bag and placing it in the cabinet, his words teased softly in my ear, “I’m going to have to teach you some manners.” His whispers drifted deep inside me. Every thought left instantly, replaced with a keen awareness of the warm areas where we touched. A soft energy from his body merged with a surge from my own, and with each passing second the energy increased. “Lesson one,” his even voice rolled off my shoulder, terrifyingly close. “What do you say to someone who fixes your fireplace?” I was lost in the emotion, my throat nervously parched, an arid swallow catching at the base of it. “Thanks?” “You’re welcome.” The embrace from behind felt too heavenly to withdraw from, like little angel wings caressing my entire back. My breathing picked up as his fingers softly enveloped my shoulders. My eyes locked shut, but that only amplified the sensation as his fingers glided across the edges of my collarbone, the tips sending little bolts of lightning through my body. I stayed unmoving, gratified and petrified at the same time. He had never touched me so intimately, as if he were getting to know me. To most it was a simple shoulder massage, but to me it was dangerous. And even though I knew this, I longed for the way his hands touched me in such a personal and protective way.
